Doug and I were able to go see Wicked! in Kansas City last weekend, and we had an amazing time. I bought a new outfit for the event, and just felt like a princess. So, indulge me, here are a few pictures of the dress (mostly for my sisters and mom!)... I even bought strappy heels, and made it through the entire night without breaking my leg. Whew! We had babysitters for the kids, and spent the entire night alone. We even got to sleep in. It was wonderful

Monte's Big Announcement!

Ok, I'm not sure how many of you can appreciate this like we do, but Monte has a really big announcement, really, really, really big! He is officially 6 1/2 years old, and for 5 1/2 years we have been working on this....

Monte can drink out of a straw!!!

He is so cute about it, and also so proud of himself. It's wonderful and amazing and incredible all at once!

Monte is all smiles...

New Family Photo March 2008

My life has been blessed lately with budding photographers all willing to try to catch us all smiling on film! (A nearly impossible feat!) The first was my Sister in Law, Heidi, who did a wonderful job on our birth announcements for Piper, the second was Michelle, who captured some of my favorite moments with Monte and wonderful pictures of us in every combination, many of which are on this site! The third was my very patient Sister in Law, Lucinda, who kept herself on alert the entire weekend we were in Utah, waiting for us to "squeeze her in" as a favor to us! She finally met us at our dentist's office and took 20 minutes of very fast pictures while we waited to be seen. Talk about flexible! We were so thrilled with the pictures, and impressed that they turned out at all, we were all so stressed...but check out how amazing these pictures of Monte are! They're blown up huge and on my wall (next to Michelle's).
Anyway, if anyone needs a photographer, Lucinda takes them in both Idaho and Utah, Michelle is also in Utah, and Heidi is in Nevada. (None are in Missouri, sad for me).

Finally! More Pictures

Ok, so it has been a terribly long time since I've posted anything, or even looked at anything on my or anyone's blog! Just a quick update, we went to Utah in March, packed up our "stuff," put our house up for sale, went to all my favorite places to see and eat, saw lots of friends and family...and officially moved to Missouri. Within a week, however, Monte had a series of serious seizures, and was life-flighted to St. Louis Children's Hospital via Helicopter. We spent a week there, changed EVERYTHING up, and now he's home and doing much better. We were thrilled with the hospital, and really are grateful to be working with them now. Unfortunately it's over 3 hours away, and only Monte was able to go in the helicopter, so I learned to make the drive in 2 hours.
So, now he's home, doing much better (no seizures lately), but the kids have been sick ever since! We've all had every kind of respiratory illness going around, and we've spent most of our days at the doctor or hospital running more tests. (That all look fine). Irritating....and exhausing! However, it's been nice to see that you've been checking in with our blog, I'll get some new things up to look at!
